Huacas is a town located 5.5 miles south of the city of Santa Cruz, it belongs to the district of Tempate in the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica in Central America.

Huacas is characterized by being a quiet but constantly growing business community.

The first settlers in this area were indigenous called Chorotegas, of whom you can still find graves, tombs or more commonly called “huacas” with historical values nearby. This is the reason why the town bears this name.
